About the ATYC

The Association of Thames Yacht Clubs (ATYC) with some 50 members represents the interests of many yacht clubs from Southend to Lechlade. Its main focus is to promote enjoyment, skills and safety.

It also lobbies on behalf of its members on higher level issues to local authorities and governmental bodies. It holds quarterly meetings, a dinner and a major rally at which boat handling is the centrepiece. The venues are typically Docklands, Kingston and Henley.

One of the key aims is to promote understanding and appreciation between all river users lucky enough to share the River Thames together.

As such it complements the River Users Groups, and indeed many of its members serve on several.
